The surveillance yielded result and on September 28, a specific information was received that Prem Pal, leader of one of the syndicate operating in UP, would come to deliver huge consignment of arms to one of his contacts near Ganda Nala Najafgarh-Uttam Nagar, Dwaraka Delhi. The police team laid a trap and Prem Pal was arrested from the designated place.

With the growing demand of sophisticated firearms in UP and Delhi and NCR, Pal expanded his business. He made contacts with the suppliers of Khargone and Dhar in MP and Jalesar, Aligarh in UP. The payment would be deposited in advance by him in the bank account of the supplier and then the arms would be delivered to him through carriers. He would then sell these illegal arms at good margin in Delhi and NCR area through Avnesh Babu.
