Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Sep 29 2016 6:49PM GHRC summons CS, DGP over cops being made to work long hoursPanaji, Sep 29 (UNI) The Goa Human Rights Commission (GHRC), headed by retired district Judge A D Salkar, today issued notices to the chief secretary and director general of police directing them to appear on November 9 in connection with a complaint filed by an advocate that policemen in the state were being made to work for very long hours amid appalling working conditions. Advocate Aires Rodrigues had approached GHRC claiming that most policemen got a break only after many days of work. The advocate had sought that like other government employees, police should also get an eight hour shift which will increase their efficiency.
