There is no respite for Rohit Shetty as his Golmaal 4 is not ready to take flight any time soon. The fourth instalment in the Golmaal series is finding itself in trouble over its leading lady. Since Kareena Kapoor Khan could not be approached to reprise her role in Golmaal 4 owing to her pregnancy, the name of Alia Bhatt started doing the rounds. But if reports are to be believed, Alia has opted out of the Ajay Devgn-starrer.

According to a report in DNA, Alia was keen on being a part of Golmaal 4, but it seems the hostility between Ajay and Alia's mentor Karan Johar over Shivaay and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil clash at the box office has played spoilsport for the Udta Punjab actor.

The report suggests that Alia, who was keen on doing Golmaal 4, all of a sudden became unavailable for the film citing date issues.

A source was quoted as telling the daily, "Her business manager even met Rohit at his office and dates were discussed. All that remained was for her to sign the film." But things changed after daggers were drawn between KJo and Devgn. "It was put across to them that Alia was busy with Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya and was to sign another biggie by the end of the year and then start shooting for Abhishek Varman's Shiddat with Varun Dhawan from March next year, so she didn't have any dates for the Devgn-starrer," added the source.

It seems Alia is not game to sign a film with Ajay when her mentor KJo is at loggerheads with him over the big box-office clash this Diwali.

The Highway actor isn't the only one to bow out of a film due to personal issues. Here are other actors who said NO to interesting projects for their personal reasons.

Saif Ali Khan says a NO to Ae Dil Hai Mushkil
Bollywood fans can't wait to see Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo in Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. But it wasn't King Khan who was the first choice for the role of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's husband in the romantic saga. Earlier, Saif Ali Khan was roped in, but the Nawab of Pataudi opted out of the multi-starrer due to his hand injury as he was advised two-month bed rest.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan refuses to work with Emraan Hashmi
Bollywood's serial kisser rubbed Aishwarya the wrong way when he called her plastic on Karan Johar's talk show a few years ago. And Aishwarya was in no mood to let bygones be bygones when she was roped in for Milan Luthria's Baadshaho. As soon as the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor got to know that she has many scenes with Emraan in the film, she bowed out of the project.

Anees Bazmee's Mubarka was also left in the lurch when Sonakshi Sinha opted out of the film due to not-so-good equation with her Tevar co-star Arjun Kapoor. The two were reportedly dating during the filming of their 2015 film, but later parted ways. However, Sonakshi later rubbished the rumours citing date issues.

Ranbir Kapoor won't play Kishore Kumar in the biopic
Ever since the news of a biopic on Kishore Kumar was out, Bollywood fans have been waiting to see Ranbir Kapoor step into the shoes of the iconic singer-actor. But since the project kept on being postponed, Ranbir opted out of the film owing to date constraints. Anurag Basu, who is directing the film, told PTI, "The biopic is definitely happening. Ranbir Kapoor is not doing it right now. If I start it in 2017, then Ranbir will not be able to do it; I will go with some other actor."
