AHMEDABAD: During the Garib Kalyan Mela which was held in Sabarkantha district, a total of 1,864 beneficiaries were given away cash and other incentives of Rs 3.35 crore.
According to officials 747 beneficiaries of Himmatnagar Taluka were given away cash and other incentives of 1.02 crore, whole 480 beneficiaries of Prantij Taluka were given away 38 lakh, while 637 beneficiaries of talukas were given away cash and incentives of 1.95 crore.

With a view to make economically self-reliant to the last deprived person, as many as 12 lakh beneficiaries will be provided assistance for equipments worth more than Rs. 3,200 crores during the campaign.
Prime Minister and the then chief minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi has aided totally Rs. 16391.82 crore assistance including 10.79 lakh to scheduled tribe, 27.82 lakh to scheduled caste, 31.14 lakh to socially and educationally backward classes and 35.64 lakh to the beneficiaries from other categories during last eight editions of Garib Kalyan Melas.
Beneficiaries of various welfare schemes of the state government will get benefits from Cabinet Ministers, office bearers on the same day and time from different district and taluka headquarters during the event.
