So how about teaming it up with the best of western wears and flaunting it in style.

Shirin Mann Sangha, Founder and Creative Director of footwear label NeedleDust Juttis, shares tips on how one can experiment with the age old style of juttis thereby giving it a contemporary look for high street fashion.

  • Shirt dresses and culottes have been a trend all this summer, you can up your game by pairing these with our chic denim juttis or better try combining your favourite printed dress with floral graphic juttis.
  • Your boxy kurta and crop tops with cigarette pants will look super cute with pastel tones and undertones of gold with light pearl and bead embroidery for all your Sunday brunches and dates.
  • Wear trendy motif based footwear with pretty flamingos and umbrellas to go with simple georgette and chiffon tops and tunics to stand out. Pump up your off-shoulder and cold shoulders with rolled up or cropped denims to go with colourful pom pom juttis or fringed footwear.
  • With the festivities coming in, go all out and ditch your heels for better comfort with flower cut sequins and heavily embellished juttis with beautiful gold dabka, mirror and tilla work to be paired with your lovely dhoti pants and draped sarees.
