NTPC issue proposal awaits nod

Hazaribag: Union minister of state Jayant Sinha said on Wednesday that they have found a solution to the NTPC issue after attending a meeting with chief minister Raghubar Das, NTPC CMD and the raiyats.
Sinha proposed NTPC will start mining in Pakri Barwadhi only despite being allotted three coal blocks at Pakri Barwadi, Keredari and Chatti Bariatu. It was also decided at the meeting that NTPC will take no land from those raiyats who are yet to hand over their land.
Employment will also be provided to each of the displaced families by Triveni Construction company in addition to paying Rs 20 lakh as compensation. However, the proposal is awaiting the chief minister's approval.
