HYDERABAD: Telangana Jagruthi chairperson and Nizamabad MP K Kavitha launched the Jagruthi app to promote Bathukamma festival. Kavitha will launch the Bathukamma festival celebrations in United Arab Emirates on September 30. “This year Bathukamma festival will be organized on a massive scale and I am confident that it will also find a place in the Guinness Book of World Records,“ said Kavitha.
The app is intended to provide information and also coordinate Telangana Jagruthi activities from the village level onwards.
Through the app, the cultural organization will also provide information on opportunities for skill development and providing employment to the rural poor. Kavitha said that technology is all set to change the lives of rural masses and Jagruthi will be at the forefront to provide worldclass training to the youth, specially women.
Answering a question, she wondered why Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu chose to restrict his visits to flood-hit areas only to Andhra Pradesh and had not shown a similar interest in flood-affected areas of Telangana. As a Union minister, he should ensure that Telangana receives the kind of aid he was promising AP for flood relief, she added.
