A memorabilia company sold the Batman suit worn by Christian Bale in the “The Dark Knight” and “The Dark Knight Rises” for $250,000.

U.K.-based The Prop Store raked in cash on Tuesday with an auction that included over 500 pieces of highly sought-after Hollywood merchandise. A private bidder took the coveted Batman suit from director Christopher Nolan’s hit movies.

“We managed to get some world-record prices there, which is very exciting for us,” said Stephen Lane, chief executive officer of The Prop Store, Bloomberg reported Wednesday. “The activity across the board was pretty unprecedented.”

Another Batman aficionado snagged the caped crusader’s motorcycle — the Batpod — for just over $400,000.

Mr. Lane told the website that superhero movie fans should not expect to see the costume showing up at any conventions in the near future.

“These don’t get worn by anybody. They really end up in glass display cases,” he told Bloomberg.

Roughly 400 people from 27 nations took part in the auction, which allowed participants to bid in person, online or over the phone.

Some of the other props and paraphernalia up for grabs included items from “Star Wars: Episode V — The Empire Strikes Back,” “The Goonies,” “Alien Vs. Predator” and “Jaws.”
