Revenue Minister Bikram Majithia today said AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal was no “aam aadmi” as he used to earlier project that he was against taking security but now, he demanded Z-plus security everytime he came to Punjab.

Majithia said this while addressing a gathering during the 109th birth anniversary programme of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, organised by the Youth Akali Dal, at his ancestral Khatkar Kalan.

Repeatedly referring to Kejriwal as Natwar Lal, he said, “Ahead of his every visit to Punjab, there is a written request for providing him Z-plus security. A jammer moves with him. Routes have to be laid out. It is for such reasons that even activists like Anna Hazare are speaking against him.”

The minister also attacked Congress leader Manpreet Badal. “He left our party saying that as the Finance Minister, he could not give freebies to farmers or subsidies to SCs and BCs. Now, I am told that as convener of the manifesto committee of his new party, he is following the same concepts. How can he change his stand now?” he asked.

On PPCC chief Captain Amarinder Singh, he said. “He is being made to do ‘Halqe vich Captain’ programmes just to convince people that he visits their constituencies too. Otherwise people know him only as ‘Paharan vich Captain’ or ‘Lahore vich Captain’. Though he is the Amritsar MP, he has attended only 11 out of 231 sittings in the Lok Sabha so far.”
