Five Budget Options for FPL
Sergio Aguero and Alexis Sanchez once again showed last week why they are indispensable in our Fantasy Premier League (FPL) squad as they fetched 13 and 14 points respectively.
But once we draft the duo in, we struggle to find the perfect budget options as getting them means splashing as much £24 million from our 'meagre' allotment of £100 million.
So here are five options we may ponder.
South Korean Heung-Min Son (7.5m) did not play the first three matches, but the midfielder has netted four times in the next three, bagging 19 in the 4-0 drabbing of Stoke and 15 against Middlesbrough last week. He has been a stark contrast to last season's Golden Boot winner Harry Kane, and the way Son is playing, more of such bandwagon looks likely.
Jermain Defoe has 36 points to his name, the same as Ibrahimovic (11.6m) and one less than the blue hot Aguero (13m). At 7.1m, he seems a must with Sunderland playing only Arsenal among the big teams in the next six. Defoe, the team's penalty taker, has a proven track-record in EPL and regardless of the Black Cats' form, looks certain to be among points.
After three games without a goal since the opening day of the season, Salomón Rondón has scored in back to back games and the Baggies' capture of attacking midfielder Nacer Chadli only bodes well for Venezuelan striker. However, the fixture is a little difficult after the Sunderland game, as they play Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester City and Leicester in the next four.
The brace against Hull did come as a surprise, but James Milner is on penalties and the way Liverpool are scoring goals for fun under Jürgen Klopp, picking either of Milner and Adam Lallana, who also has three goals to his credit, is not a bad idea.
