Three day agritech meet to focus on educating farmers

Jaipur: A three-day Global Rajasthan Agritech Meet (GRAM), is scheduled between November 9-11. The state government is aiming to create a huge area for exhibitions to educate farmers who will come from across the state.
A total area of 5,000 square meter (sq mt) indoor and 4,100 sq mt outdoor space has been earmarked as exhibition area during the event. Along with this, an area of 3,500 sq mt is earmarked specifically for animal husbandry where cattle and livestock will be on display.
To spread awareness among the farmers for smart farm, a model will be showcased covering area of 3,000 sq mt.

“The exhibition area will be divided into various categories that include livestock, agri-diversification and retailers, post-harvest technologies among others,” said Neelkamal Darbari, principal secretary, agriculture.
She added, “Knowledge transfer will also play a pivotal role during the three-day agri exposition. This will be done through a series of conferences and ‘Kishan Gosthis’. During the three-day exposition there will be sessions on topics covering all aspects of agriculture.
Animal husbandry department will organize prize winning competitions for cattle breeders who will showcase their high-end breeds of animals.
