DEHRADUN: Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi, who was earlier in news for attacking the police horse ‘Shaktimaan’, was again caught in controversy when his supporters clashed with Congress workers during a television debate.
The supporters allegedly got enraged after a woman Congress leader on Tuesday claimed that Joshi had not undertaken any women-oriented development projects in the area during the last four years.
“Everyone has seen the developmental work done by the MLA. The Congress supporters were the ones who got aggressive,” said an aide of Joshi.
Meanwhile, at a function in Kanya Gurukul Mahavidhyalay on Wednesday, Joshi claimed that Sanskrit was a “language endorsed even by NASA as one of the unique languages on earth”.
“I don’t have deep knowledge of the Sanskrit language but you will be surprised to know that Sanskrit is root of all the languages in the world. The US agency NASA too has endorsed Sanskrit as a unique language. At present, Sanskrit has maximum number of words and to give you an example there are 100 words for elephant,” said Joshi.
Explaining the uniqueness of the language, Joshi also said that Sanskrit is the only language in which a sentence can be completed in a few words. The students cheered the MLA’s speech and the winners of the completion were awarded.
