Don’t treat Kashmir as chess board: CPI-M to Indo-Pak

Srinagar, Sep 28 (UNI) Urging India and Pakistan not to treat Kashmir as a chess board, the Communist Party of India (M) said delay tactics adopted by the government in initiating a credible and comprehensive dialogue with the stakeholders amounts to disservice to the people, having dangerous implications.
The CPI-M demanded judicial probe into all killings in the valley, where 84 persons, mostly youths, were killed and over 9500 others were injured in security force and police action since July 9, a day after Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) commander Burhan Wani and two other militants were killed in an encounter in Anantnag.
Although visit of All Party Delegation (APD) to Kashmir was a late initiative taken by the Centre even then could be termed as a welcome move. But nothing has come out so far from these visits, CPI(M) leader and MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami told mediapersons here today.
