subsidiary of UBM Development, has launched construction work on 128 freehold apartments. The 'MySky' housing project at the heart of Monte Laa neighbourhood will stand 66 metres tall and is due to be completed in autumn 2017 just in time for the opening of the nearby metro station 'Troststraße'.

Monte Laa, the new urban development zone, will soon have an additional attraction: 'MySky'. The housing project right in the middle of Favoriten, Vienna's 10th district, will comprise a 20-storey tower and a 9-storey high rise. The two buildings will be connected by a low-rise building featuring a roof terrace.

The first nine storeys were launched back in September 2015 and will house apartments subsidised by the WPV-GPA housing association for private-sector employees as well as student homes. Now, construction is set to start for the freehold apartments of STRAUSS & PARTNER starting from the 10th floor. Overall, 128 freehold apartments measuring between 45 and 145 sqm will be built on some 8,200 sqm of floor space. The timing is impeccable: completion in autumn 2017 is slated to coincide with the opening of the new metro station 'Troststraße' on the U1 line - exit Klausenburgergasse

Claus Stadler: 'MySky - along the latest trend'

'We are confident that MySky is right in line with the latest trend. The tendency to live in skyscrapers continues to hold. Thanks to the location, the new housing project ties up the amenities of living in the country and those of living in a city - combining a modern high rise, a central neighbourhood and a diversity of recreational offerings, but away from the city's hustle and bustle' says Claus Stadler, COO of UBM and managing director of STRAUSS & PARTNER, expressing his confidence in the location. 'The high demand, as well as the first signed contracts before construction has even started, demonstrate the keen interest there is in such residential places and represent compelling arguments for the realisation of such a project.'

Living with a view and top-notch infrastructure

Owing to the flexible floor plans, the apartments offer living space tailored to the needs of a wide range of life situations - from compact single apartments all the way to spacious family places. The panorama view extending from Schneeberg Mountain to the Laaer Wald forest and the city centre marks the highlight of the apartments. Occupants get to enjoy a broad range of amenities, including the building's own underground car park, a wellness area, common terraces in the 6th floor and common garden facilities as well as a playground with adjoining kindergarten. The direct link to the U1 metro and A23 motorway ensure convenient mobility.
