Cops nab four for abducting youth

Jaipur/ In a joint operation, Dholpur and Jaipur police, on Tuesday, arrested four people for kidnapping a 19-year-old youth from Jaipur and looting an SUV from a cabbie.

JAIPUR/ ALWAR: In a joint operation, Dholpur and Jaipur police, on Tuesday, arrested four people for kidnapping a 19-year-old youth from Jaipur and looting an SUV from a cabbie. The abducted youth was freed by the police withing 24 hours after he was kidnapped and handed over to his family on Tuesday.
The police arrested Anil (21) Mukhram (24) Rishi (19) and Rajesh Gujar (24), all four are resident of Bharatpur district and were living in Jaipur for past several months.

On Monday morning the four youth had called Rohitash (27), a taxi driver to book a ride from Jaipur's Pratap Nagar to Karoli. "The booking was done for 10.30 AM. Rohitash arrived at a multi-story building near Pratap Nagar's Kumbha Marg. Anil asked Rohitash to come upstairs and assist him taking the heavy luggage downstairs," said Bhopal Singh, SHO, Pratap Nagar Police Station.
As soon as the cabbie entered the flat, the criminals overpowered Rohitash and held him captive inside their flat, they took his mobile phone, cash and keys of the the white coloured Tavera taxi and ran away . Rohitash somehow managed to escape from the flat and informed the police.
Subsequently, the Jaipur police's control room received another complaint that at 4.30 PM a 19-year-old Vishal Sharma has been kidnapped by somebody.
Manish Agarwal (DCP South) directed Anil Jaiman, Mansarover SHO to follow the trail left behind the looted white Tavera taxi.
The police immediately put Sharma's phone on trace and found that current location was shown somewhere near Jaipur-Dholpur road. Dholpur police SP was informed about the four criminals who are likely to enter the jurisdiction area of Dholpur police.

While the Dholpur police started its search operation, the kidnappers called the family of Sharma to bring Rs 6 Lakh else their son will be killed. The conversation of family members and kidnappers was also traced.
In the meantime, Dhaulpur police SP Rajesh Singh and his team pulled out dragnet across the district to catch the criminals. "The criminals were spotted zooming past Badi area of Dholpur. They escaped from the check point near Housing Board area, but a police team chased them arrested the criminals," police said.
After the night long chase the police found the criminals, who told them that Sharma has been held captive at a place in the jungles of Gajpura. Sharma was handed over to his family.
