JAISALMER: In line with Prime Minister's 'Swach Bharat Abhiyan' and 'Go Green' ideas, the adventure cell of Air Force is conducting 'IAF Milan Cycling Expedition'. The team was flagged off from Jaisalmer on Tuesday by air commodore D Vedajna, air officer commanding, air force station Jaisalmer.
Air headquarters and commands are divided into four teams from Northern, Southern, Western and Eastern parts of the country comprising 20 members each.
They have started the expedition from their respective territories and will culminate at Delhi on October 8 which will also be the 84th Air Force Celebrations Day. Defence official source said, "Team West, comprising of members of HQ SWAC, IAF and HQ MC, IAF led by wing commander Tarun Kumar, started from Naliya on September 13, will pass through Gujarat, Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi, covering approximately a distance of 2010 kms. Members of the team were received by group captain G S Chauhan, chief operating officer of Air Force Station Jaisalmer along with a large number of air warriors with great zeal and enthusiasm."
