Delegate fee to remain Rs 1,000

Delegates will be charged the same registration fee as last year for Iffi of 1000 per head, even as the number of days of the festival have been reduced to nine-days from the earlier 11 days.
The registration fee was increased from a nominal 300 to 1,000 last year to be able to recover at least some of the festival organisation costs.
The Goa government, which spends a major part on the festival organization, recovered part of the money spent through delegate registrations last year, when 75 lakh was collected through the fee.Fees for film and theatre teachers, students from recognized state and central government institutions, and artistes and writers is waived off though.
Registration of delegates takes place online and the registration is set to begin soon. In 2015, 9000 delegates registered for Iffi.
