Veteran actor Radha Ravi is known for his humorous satirical speeches at events. The actor, who is receiving excellent responses for his films — including the recently released Thodari — floored the gathering at the audio launch of English Padam, starring Ramki as the hero, with his witty talk.
This time, his conversation was on the topic of heroes sporting salt-n-pepper looks. He said, “I am always in awe of one man who looks handsome despite the half-bald and silver hair style he sports when he attends private functions. He is none other than Superstar Rajinikanth sir. Yet another person who looks young and striking, despite his salt-n-pepper look is Ajith (a big applause at the mention of Thala’s name). I loved his looks. I tried sporting a similar look and the response I got was — ‘Oh you have become old’. That’s the kind of reception I get (laughs). Ramki is another person who looks great in his grey-haired look which he dons for English Padam.”
He quickly adds with a punch, “I am going to tell his wife, actress Nirosha to be careful as Ramki now has experience and looks younger than ever.”
He drifted the topic and requested theaters to accommodate small films and give them at least one show. “Rejecting small-budget films,without seeing it in the first place, is wrong on so many levels. If it is good, you will automatically increase the number of shows which will encourage directors to make small budget quality films in Tamil,” he concluded.
