Hear Luke Bryan’s Utopian ‘I Do All My Dreamin’ There’
Luke Bryan paints his own picture of a quiet, carefree paradise — complete with huckleberry limbs and peanut butter sandwiches — in “I Do All My Dreamin’ There,” a new track from his Farm Tour…Here’s to the Farmer EP. The new song is one of the livelier off the new collection, which dropped on September 23rd to commemorate Bryan’s annual Farm Tour and accompanies more romantic ballads like “You Look Like Rain.”
The upbeat tune offers foot-tapping guitar hooks and playful lyrics about “beer crackin'” and lazy summer days. But songwriters Craig Wiseman and Jim McCormick breathe a bigger message into the song: Everyone needs to escape to their own version of this oak tree-studded oasis once in a while to recharge. And as a natural storyteller, Bryan does an effective job of weaving the listener through his secret country hideaway. There, he’s “watching the world go by” and “just talking to the man in the sky.” And with cold beer and “summer’s sweet jasmine in the air” beckoning, he can’t be blamed for all that time daydreaming.
The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year’s Farm Tour starts October 5th in South Carolina and wraps October 15th in Illinois. For venue information and a full list of tour dates, check out Bryan’s website.
