But what was it like when he was first approached for the movie which depicts his life right till he hit that famous six to seal India's World Cup win in 2011?

"I actually had no idea when Arun (Pandey) came to me with this idea. I thought how can it be, I don't even have villains in my life," said Dhoni during a promotional event for his movie, which will hit the theatres on Friday. The movie will depict Dhoni's journey right from when he started cricket as a young boy to the 2011 World Cup.

But with Dhoni still playing at the international stage and the story in his biopic incomplete, is Dhoni game for a sequel of the movie?

Dhoni, at least now, doesn't look too eager for that and he has reasons for it.

"It will be difficult to do a sequel because this movie is till 2011 and after that, there were just controversies and also I have many villains too," said Dhoni as he burst into laughter.

The movie relives Dhoni's journey in Ranchi and Kharakpur and of course after he became a start. Dhoni's character has been played by Sushant Singh Rajput, who himself went through intense training of 10 months to make himself perfect for the role.

There are also some funny and interesting incidents in the movie taken from Dhoni's life.

Captain cool relives those moments for the audience.

"I had to give my exams and would then head straight to play a tournament when I was in class 12th.

"It was my last examination that day, and incidentally, very same day we had the last match of the tournament. So, I finished my exam, went straight to the railway station in my school uniform and would board the train. People on the train started telling 'beta exam achcha nahi hua toh koi baat nahi, you shouldn't leave your home for this' and then I went in front, changed my clothes," Dhoni recalled.
