Yeleru canal modernisation works to be expedited: JC

Kakinada Sep 27 (UNI) Joint Collector Satyanarayana asked the irrigation engineers and Revenue divisional Officers and Tehsildars to expedite Yeleru canal modernisation works especially the land acquisition without further delay.
Reviewing the progress of land acquisition for various projects at a meeting held at the Collectorate here today, he said preliminary notification regarding land acquisition for Yeleru canal modernisation in 13 villages was already issued .
He asked the Kakinada RDO to issue the notification for the remaining two villages within a week. The Joint collector has instructed the Irrigation EE of Yeleru division to ensure that residential houses are not affected while giving margin for land acquisition in Geddanapalli, Mukkollu, Rajupalem and Chillangi villages of Kirlampudi mandal. He said survey was completed for land acquisition required for Samalkot –Rajanagaram ADB road widening.
