Only one truck from PoK arrives, a dozen from here cross to other side of LoC

Srinagar, Sep 27 (UNI) Only one truck from Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) arrived here while about a dozen from Kashmir crossed to other side of the Line of Control (LoC) as cross-border trade resumed today after remaining suspended since August 4.
The PoK traders suspended trade to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir and against the civilian killings in the valley after July 9, a day after Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) commander Burhan Wani and two other militants were killed in an encounter in Anantnag. However, barring two weeks, the cross LoC Karvan-e-Aman bus service operated between the two divided parts regularly.
A truck from PoK arrived at Salamabad Trade Facilitation Centre (STFC) today after crossing the Aman Setu peace bridge at Kaman post, the last Indian military post on this side of the LoC in Uri sector, where 18 soldiers were killed and as many were injured in a fidayeen attack on Army Brigade headquarters recently, resulting in heightened tension between India and Pakistan. Four militants of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) militants were also killed in the encounter.
