Great news for all Pakistani fans, as the national kabbadi team defeated arch rivals India to win the title of Asian Beach Kabaddi Championship on Tuesday.
The national team claimed gold after beating India by 30-28 points in the match. Earlier, Pakistan won the Asian Beach Championship semi-final by beating South Korea in a thriller.
This is high time for Pakistan Kabaddi team which left for Vietnam on Sep 21 (Wednesday) to participate in the Games. As the result comes days ahead of the Kabaddi World Cup, which is set to take place in India, Gujarat from October 7.
However, amid rising tensions between India-Pakistan, the participation of the green team remains a doubt.
The World Cup is considered one of the biggest events of Kabaddi in the region. The event is likely to feature 12 teams including US, Canada, Australia, UK, Poland, Korea, Japan, Kenya, Iran, Bangladesh, Pakistan and hosts India.
