The website of Kubikiri Cycle: Aoiro Savant to Zaregoto Tsukai OVA has released the second trailer for the anime on Monday. The video features Sangatsu No Phantasia's song "Cobalt World" as its opening theme. However, the video is region blocked and only viewers from Japan are allowed to watch it as of today.

The trailer video first premiered at SHAFT's 40th Anniversary Commemoration Madogatari Exhibit at the Tokyo Encore last September 22. The anime is set to be released on October 26, 2016, which will include the first 8 volumes in Blu-ray Disc and DVD, plus character commentary by NisiO Isin herself, a booklet and a clear case, all for 3,600 yen or approximately $36.

The cast of the OVA includes Boku played by Yuuki Kaji, Tomo played by Aoi Yūki, Akane played by Yu Shimamura, Kanami played by Ayako Kawasumi, Sakaki played by Kenji Hamada, Maki played by Aya Endo, Yayoi played by Haruna Ikezawa, Iria played by Mariya Ise, Rei played by Houko Kuwashima, Akari played by Natsuko Kuwatoni, Hikari played by Ryoko Shintani, Teruko played by Yuko Goto, and Aikawa played by Yuko Kaida.

 Akiyuki Simbo will be the chief director who will be working with Fuyashi Tou on series composition and directed by Yuki Yase. Akio Watanabe as chief animation director with Hirofumi Suzuki will be adapting the character designs of Take for animation. Yuki Kajiura will be composing the music and Kalafina will do the performance for the ending song titled "Marchen"Zaregoto series started as a novel series in Japan by novelist Nisio Isin and illustrated by Take.

The story centers on a person whose name is never given and narrates all the mysteries he faces. As the story progresses, it introduces more action and fighting. The lead character tries his best to keep out of the story but always gets dragged into the middle of everything.
