Back in 1973, Yash Chopra made his first mark on Bollywood with Daag: A Poem Of Love, a romantic drama about infidelity starring Sharmila Tagore, Rajesh Khanna and Raakhee. And since then, the legend's production house Yash Raj Films has grown from strength to strength, entertaining India with some unforgettable films.

Over the years, the most special Yash Raj movies have always been the ones Chopra worked his magic on himself, spotlighting romance in a way only he could. Whether it was Sridevi-starrer Chandni in 1989, Dil To Pagal Hai in 1997 or historical drama Veer-Zaara in 2004, every project Chopra touched resulted in an addictive movie-watching experience, creating a poetically pretty world that kept fans coming back for more. Just as special as his own directorial ventures, were the films he supported alongside his sons Aditya and Uday Chopra, including the likes of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Mohabbatein, and the Dhoom series.

Before his demise in 2012, Chopra put his heart into his last ever film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. Today, YRF is still moving forward at an incredible pace, with films like Befikre and Tiger Zinda Hai on the way.
