Madrid: Cristiano Ronaldo's mother Dolores Aveiro jumped to her unhappy son's support, moments after he was substituted in Real Madrid's La Liga match against Las Palmas on Saturday.

Seeing her son's gloomy face flashed on TV, Ronaldo's mom tweeted a picture of her son on the subs' bench and accompanied it with the message in Spanish: "Nunca abaixe a cabeca (never lower your head)."
