The actor is kicking his onscreen daredevilry up a notch by lifting a Mercedes Benz that weighs more than 1000 kg in an upcoming film. It was quite a magical movie moment to watch John Abraham lift a 150 kg bike in Vipul Amrutlal Shah's 2011 action thriller 'Force' which was a remake of Gautham Menon's hit 2003 Tamil film, 'Kaakha Kaakha.'
Now, Mirror has learnt that the 43-year-old actor is taking his onscreen daredevilry up a notch for the sequel by lifting a Mercedes-Benz weighing over 1580 kg.

"When John lifted the bike, it became a talking point even though many claimed that it was a tweaked shot carried out with trick photography. But he proved all of the sceptics wrong by lifting the bike at a press conference during the film's promotions. When we were discussing 'Force 2,' John himself came up with the idea of lifting a car, as the plan was to make the sequel bigger and better than the original," Vipul informs Mirror.
'The Action Replay' filmmaker admits that this time John needed a little help to lift the car; however, he insists that despite this, his effort is worth applauding. "Obviously, one can't lift a car completely on their own. But John worked extremely hard on the sequence. Most people can't even do one-tenth of what John has done in this film. Also, director Abhinay Deo has executed the sequence well," adds Vipul.
John who busted his knee while shooting for the film in Romania last year and subsequently underwent three corrective surgeries, shot for the Mercedes sequence earlier this month in Mumbai. "He began prepping up by working out in the gym for six-seven hours every day and keeping a close watch on his diet four-five months before we began shooting. However, it was tricky as he hadn't been able to go to the gym after the accident and so he had to start gaining weight from scratch. He has done a commendable job," Vipul exclaims.

So is there going to be a third part in the franchise in the future?
"The idea is to make a dependable action franchise in India on the lines of Fast and Furious, Mission Impossible and the Bourne films. Force is a step forward in that direction but Part 3 would depend on the success of this film," Vipul signs off.
