And when it comes to knowing about the travel fetishes about our favourite stars we all are pepped. It has been our hidden desire to know the perfect getaways for them — is it the snowy mountains or pristine beaches, what exactly excites them? Thanks to Instagram these days, we get an up-close and personal peek at their travel diaries.

We hold our breath while they plunge into the ocean or just become dumbstruck by their mesmerising beach moments, it is the stars that literally set our travel goals. From Bipasha Basu’s honeymoon pictures to Parineeti Chopra’s koala click, we always keep a close tab on what destination features on their timeline. From shopping to meditation retreats or just for fun, here is what some of the Bollywood celebrities had to say to IndianExpress.com on World Tourism Day.

Senior Bollywood actor, Boman Irani highlighted that in order to have the best holiday, the destination need not be a foreign location. Indeed the diversity India offers, very few continents also can’t offer. The actor says, Coorg is by far his much-loved destination in India.

For Dabangg actor Sonu Sood, it’s Washington. Mostly preferred for shopping, the actor is a frequent visitor to the US city as his sister resides there.

Choreographer and director Farah Khan can’t have too much of Paris. But you really can’t blame her, can you? A perfect combination of art, history and fashion, the French capital is also among the top three destinations of the world. The doting mother of three says, she has already covered half of the world with her kids and is always ready at a given opportunity to start trotting again. Well, we can say they are real globe-trotters!
