Murder plot: Seven sent to jail

VADODARA: The seven accused who were arrested by the detection of crime branch (DCB) on September 17 for conspiring to kill BJP member and realtor Dharmendrasinh Waghela were sent to judicial custody on Monday.
After the arrests, the case was transferred to Sayajigunj police that presented the accused, including the alleged mastermind Bhanvarlal Gaur and his son Amit, in the court.
Sayajigunj police inspector A V Parmar who was investigating the case after it was transferred to him from the crime branch said that the accused had claimed that the firearms had been procured from a person in Uttar Pradesh .The Sayajigunj police was earlier given remand of four days of all seven accused on September 23. The police did not seek further remand of the accused.
