Oppose foeticide: UJVNL MD

SN Verma, Managing Director, Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Nigam Limited, has said it is the duty of everyone to work towards the elimination of the female foeticide menace in the country.

He expressed his views at a function organised by an NGO – Uttaranchal Mahilla Association (UMA) – here yesterday. He said it was the duty of everyone to stand against female foeticide. Women living in rural areas have proved their worth in every field. He expressed concern over deteriorating sex ratio in the country. —TNS
