Harayana Swarna Jayanti Celebrations: 141-member state panel to meet in Panchkula

The government has constituted a huge 141-member committee to discuss plans and prepare for the celebrations of Haryana completing 50 years of its formation.

The Haryana government is set to hold the first meeting of the state-level Swarna Jayanti celebrations committee in Panchkula on Tuesday. The government has announced its decision to hold year-long celebrations starting from November 1 this year to October 31 next year.

The government has constituted a huge 141-member committee to discuss plans and prepare for the celebrations of Haryana completing 50 years of its formation.

An official said that suggestions will be sought from the members of the committee for the celebrations. The meeting will be presided over by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

The celebrations will kick off with a function at Gurgaon on November 1. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the function.
A spokesperson said that Haryana will showcase its past of the land of Vedas, Gita and Upnishads and its vision for the future.
