Mundrothuruth all set to reach screens

The film has been taken to many festivals including the Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI) and the International Film Festival of Kerala.

A year after completing the film, and many awards and recognitions later, Mundrothuruth, the first feature film of Manu P.S. is releasing in theatres on September 30. “It will be releasing in all the KSFDC movie theatres and also in Payyannur, Ernakulam and Kollam,” says the director who has previously won awards for his short films like Goalee.

Mundrothuruthu tells the story of an old man, played by Indrans, living in a house in Kureepuzha, and meeting his wayward grandson, played by Jason Chacko, who was coming home. There is also a woman in the house — the maid Kathu, played by Abhija. The film has been taken to many festivals including the Mumbai Film Festival (MAMI) and the International Film Festival of Kerala. Manu also won for his film, the Aravindan Puraskaram and John Abraham award this year.
