New York – The New York Chapter of the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA) tomorrow will host a program examining new home formats tailored to today’ consumers.

At the special event dubbed “The Coming Housing (R)evolution,” attendees will be presented with three iterations of new home formats by panelists: Chris Bledsoe, founding partner of Ollie/Stage 3 Properties; Kim Ashbaugh, director of Next Gen Brand Management for Lennar; and Geoffrey Bradfield, interior designer and business partner of Roric Tobin.

Bledsoe will discuss small spaces. His company collaborated with nArchitects and Barry Wooley Designs interior design director Jacqueline Smith in the development of Carmel Place, the first micro-unit condominium, which opened in Manhattan in late May. He will talk about the project’s many design challenges and how they were solved with complex plans, newly re-calibrated appliances and multi-functional furnishings.

Ashbaugh, who is responsible for the expansion of Lennar’s Multi-generational Home model, will share insights on customizing multi-family occupancy home spaces, epscially as they relate to Millennials and seniors.

Bradfield, who specializes luxury housing for the 55-plus generation, will talk about some of his key projects commissioned by wealthy and savvy clients.

The event will be moderated by Hermine Mariaux, longtime editor, trend analyst and blogger.

It will be held at the Florim showroom, located at 152 Madison Avenue at 32nd Street. Refreshments will be served at 5:30, followed by the presentation at 6 p.m.
