    No Chinese incursion along Arunachal Pradesh: Army sources

    Synopsis

    Border Personnel Meeting (BPM) is scheduled to take place between Indian and Chine Army officials at the Sino-Indian border at Bumla at Tawaang district.

    GUWAHATI: Indian army on Monday denied reports of Chinese troops crossing into Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh’s Anjaw district.
    Army stated there was face off between the PLA and army.

    There were reports which stated that there was incursion from the China’s side on September 9.

    Senior army official told ET, “There is mutually identified disputed area astride the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Fish Tail is one such area where the incident occurred. In this area both India and PLA conduct patrolling and there are incidents of face off”.

    The officer added, “The incident being reported is one such face off which has been resolved through established border management mechanism. The PLA patrol has gone back. There is no truth in claim of patrol setting up camp and staying put.”

    Army said that this BMP is an annual ceremonial one. Meanwhile proscribed militant anti talk faction of ULFA stood by Chinese goods.

    Anti talk ULFA which is also known Ulfa (Independent) militants in a statement to media houses stated, “Communal organization Hindu Yuva Chatra Parishad has asked the people to refrain from purchasing of imported Chinese goods. We ask the organization to withdraw the same.”

    The outfit stated Hindu Yuva Chatra Parishad is not the sole advisor of the local people. "Indian business houses are selling goods here. China has been Assam’s historical friend."
