Gilbert Arenas’ being-awful-at-life streak ends with STD lawsuit

Gilbert Arenas finally got a win.

According to TMZ, a judge has ordered Arenas’ ex-girlfriend to pay $110,110 to the former NBA star, stemming from a defamation suit he filed against her last September.

In the suit, Arenas said Laura Govan wrote an email accusing him of giving her STDs and leaked it to a number of media outlets. The father of Govan’s four children claimed her note damaged his reputation to the extent it’s prevented him from finding adequate work.

Arenas, the infamous “Agent Zero” who played 11 seasons on four NBA teams, now appears to spend most of his time thinking up degrading Instagram messages and comparing himself to O.J. Simpson.

Arenas, who last played in the NBA with the Memphis Grizzlies four years ago, originally sought seven figures in the lawsuit, but the judge reduced the total given Govan’s “very limited” financial situation.

The estranged couple, who first met while Arenas was playing for the Golden State Warriors, split for good last year. The “Basketball Wives LA” beauty, whose sister Gloria Govan is currently romancing former Knicks coach Derek Fisher, previously had slapped her ex with a lawsuit after he allegedly kicked her out of the house and sold her engagement ring for $1 million. That case was thrown out by the judge.
