Dev Anand was born on September 26, 1923, as Dharam Devdutt Pishorimal Anand to advocate Pishori Lal Anand in the state of Punjab in present day Pakistan. He was educated in Dalhousie and Lahore. He debuted in Hum Ek Hain in 1946 and slowly but surely went on to be the biggest star of the 1950s and ’60s in Hindi cinema (then not known as Bollywood). The actor enthralled us from the beginning of his career itself. A star whose talent knew no bounds and whose charm is unmatched till date. With his innocent smile and power packed acting he made the whole world go crazy.
