Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to salute a Mumbai cop for saving a girl's life who would have lost her life under the train had constable Pawan Tayde of Lonavala station not reached in time.

The Rustom star tweeted the video on Monday (September 26) with the quote: Had my heart in my mouth literally!Salute to constable Pawan Tayde of Lonavala police station for his presence of mind and swift action.

The video shows a girl falling out of a running mail train in a station. She gets trapped between the platform and the running train and before any damage can happen, constable Tayde ran up to the girl to save her.

Akshay Kumar has earlier played policemen in various movies, including, Mohra, Khakee and Rowdy Rathore.

Khiladi Kumar is known for being the athletic sort. Trained in martial arts from Bangkok, Thailand, Akshay has acted in physically demanding, action oriented roles in a lot of films. A praise coming from him must mean a lot a constable Tayde.

On the film front, the Rustom star will be seen soon in his Tamil debut, Shankar's 2.0, starring Rajinikanth. He will also be seen in MS Dhoni: The Untold Story director Neeraj Pandey's Crack which is slated to release on Independence Day next year.
