Karnataka opens up to luxury tourist experiences
BENGALURU: Karnataka tourism dept launches various new activities and programmes on the eve of World Tourism Day. On Monday, the dept launched Prathama (pravasi thana mahiti)-online tourism platform for Karnataka.
It will serve as an inventory for tourists to find relevant information and stakeholders to get their properties and products listed and registered with the dept.
At the same time it will provide real time data on tourists visiting each of the destinations and status of projects taken up by the dept.
The department also launched a special website over Dasar celebrations this year-www.mydasara.in, free ride on Golden Chariot to winners of Craziest Leave Application contest, photography competition on heritage and nature, heritage bicycle ride on September 27 in Bengaluru and a copter ride to Mysuru at Rs4000 from Ocotber 1 to 15 are going to be the highlight activities of the dept.
Apart from that the department has also selected 12 startups that will come out with various technological solutions in the sector and Rs2 crores have been sanctioned for this.
