MHA appoints DG CISF, NSG, NDRF

New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) In a major reshuffle, the Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed O P Singh, 1983 batch IPS officer of UP cadre as Director General, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). He is presently serving as Director General, NDRF (ADG level).
Similarly, Sudhir Pratap Singh, a 1983 batch IPS officer of Rajasthan cadre, who has been serving as ADG CRPF, has been appointed as Director General, National Security Guard (NSG) and R K Pachnanda, 1983 batch IPS officer of West Bengal cadre presently serving as ADG CISF, has been appointed as DG, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF).
In addition to this, the orders of appointment of P C Thakur, as Director General, Fire Services, Civil Defence & Home Guards, has been cancelled. He was 1979 batch IPS of Gujarat Cadre. All the three officers would get salary in the HAG+ pay scale (pre-revised) from the date of joining the post.

NCRTC launches campaign to encourage voting for LS polls

New Delhi, April 25 (UNI) In a bid to encourage passengers to exercise their democratic right to vote in the parliamentary elections, National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) on Thursday launched a campaign for the second phase of Lok Sabha polls, scheduled to be held on April 26.
