RAJKOT: Three children drowned in two separate drowning accidents reported since Saturday.
In Moti Paneri village, near Upleta town, a 12-year-old boy Ridham Jhakhaniya drowned in a lake where he had gone to bathe with his two friends on Sunday. Jhakhaniya lived in Gandhi Society in the village.
On Saturday noon, two boys drowned in Dhava Gir village near Talala in Gir-Somnath district.
The deceased were identified as Ketan Koli, 15, and Ravi Baraiya, 12. The boys had gone to bathe in a lake near their village. Their bodies were fished out late in the evening, said M K Movaliya, head constable, Talala police station.
