Water tanker hits bike, rider killed

INDORE: One person died while another got injured after the bike they were travelling on was hit by a truck here in Dewas Naka late on Saturday.
The incident took place at around 11:00pm, when the 30-year-old deceased identified as Santaneer was on his way to some place along with his friend Bhagirath(37). They were travelling on Bhagirath's bike, when they were suddenly hit by a water tanker near the wine shop.Both the youths are residents of Vijay Nagar.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital by locals where Santaneer was declared brought dead. Bhagirath's condition was critical and is undergoing treatment, said Lasudia police. While giving his statement, Bhagirath told police that they were crossing the road when they were suddenly hit by a speeding tanker coming from the opposite direction.
