Sairat star Rinku Rajguru aka Archie will complete her education, keen to take SSC exam, says family

Rajguru said speculations about her dropping out of school and ending her educational career were not true. “We have filled up Form 17, which means she can appear externally for her SSC exam. So where is the question of her not giving the exam ?” he asked. Rinku was a student of Jijamata Kanya Prashala, Akluj which is in Solapur district.

In several of her interviews, Rinku has said she wants to become a doctor. “Yes, she is keen on becoming a doctor. But we will take the call when she is in Class 12…Nothing is final as yet. But one thing is sure, Rinku will pursue her education and set a good example,” he said.

The family said ‘Archie’ was currently busy in catching with her studies. “Whenever she comes to Akluj, she keeps herself busy studying her Class 10 syllabus. Similarly, it happens in Pune…,” he said. The family has made special arrangement of tuition teachers for Rinku. The tuition teachers come to the Shikshak Colony residence in Akluj whenever the actor is at home. In Pune too, Rinku is apparently taking lessons from tuition teachers.

Most of the time, Rinku has been in Pune, staying with “Sairat” director Nagraj Manjule’s family and has hardly visited her home in Akluj. She had attended school only for two days before her parents got her school leaving certificates. First she was busy with the movie promotion and then attending functions.

On the recent criticism by RPI leader Ramdas Athavale that the Maratha organisations were agitated, especially, after the release of Sairat, Rajguru said he would not like to respond. Athavale said “Sairat” was a good movie which was seeking to break the caste barrier, but was not liked by some leaders. A state government minister too had criticised the movie, saying youngsters were picking wrong ideas from “Sairat”.

The bold character of “Archie” played by Rinku has made her a household name in Maharashtra. The actress is being mobbed by thousands of youths wherever she has gone. Though the family seems to be keen on Rinku pursuing her film career alongside the educational career, they had to pull her out of the school due to security reasons.

Jayant Kariya, a resident of Pimpri-Chinchwad, who had gone to Solapur district, got an opportunity to meet the actor at her residence. “When I was in Akluj, Archie was very much home. When I went to her residence, she was very polite, confident and did not mind interacting with the fans. I saw a huge crowd which constantly keeps pouring at her residence…”
