At least 100 varieties of dishes, including five types of 'payasam', a sweet preparation, were served, BJP sources said.

Kozhikode: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was in Kozhikode to participate in the three-day Bharatiya Janata Party National Council meet, was on Sunday served the traditional Kerala 'sadya' feast.

At least 100 varieties of dishes, including five types of 'payasam', a sweet preparation, were served, BJP sources said.

NDA partners in Kerala, BDJS President Tushar Vellapally, Janadhipatiya Rashtreeya Sabha of tribal leader CK Janu, former Union minister PC Thomas who heads a faction of Kerala Congress, AN Rajan Babu who leads a JSS faction, were among those who joined Modi for lunch.

Janu later criticised some of the policies of the Centre.
