Coimbatore: Groping in the dark in Hindu Munnani spokesperson C Sasikumar's murder case, the police have brought more than 100 men under their scanner.
Six special teams formed to investigate into the murder are probing multiple angles, from real estate rivalry to personal enmity and communal rivalry. Sasikumar's recent Facebook posts, mobile records and activities, especially during Vinayaka Chaturthi, are examined to zero in on the assailants.

One of the special teams has collected CCTV footage recorded from ARC Junction on Mettupalayam Road to Goundermills Junction. In one of the CCTV footages, Sasikumar was seen pushing his motorcycle near a paan shop on Mettupalayam Road.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Sasikumar's scooter developed a snag on Mettupalayam Road and he tried to start it for at least 15 minutes. Later, the owner of the paan shop brought a two-wheeler mechanic to the spot and the snagwas rectified. On Sunday, the paan shop owner was questioned by the police. But they could not establish the motive behind the murder.
Another team of police collected the call details of Sasikumar's mobile number and came to know that he was constantly speaking with four people during night hours in recent days. The police have picked up the four people and started questioning them. Police believe that the inquiry with these men could yield a vital clue in the case.
Police have also collected the details of suspects in connection with 27-year-old J Abdul Hakkim's murder at More Market at
Ganapathy on September 19. He was murdered over a gang rivalry and the city police arrested nine accused, including two Hindu Munnani functionaries, and lodged them at the Coimbatore Central Prison.
Police sources claimed that Sasikumar met the two Hindu Munnani functionaries at the Central prison here and gave new cloths to them.
