A Healthy Heart Walkathon was organised at Race Course on Sunday to promote awareness on healthy habits that would help maintain a healthy heart.

It was organised by G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Memorial Hospital to commemorate the World Heart Day observance on Thursday, September 29.

Mayor P. Rajkumar flagged off the rally near Cosmopolitan Club at Race Course in the presence of the chief executive officer of the hospital Ragupathy Veluswamy. The hospital doctors, staff and public participated in the walkathon.

The participants walked around the Race Course holding placards on tips for a healthy heart, such as having the right food and regular exercise.
