UNA, SEPTEMBER 25
The police last night arrested two brothers, both residents of Lalari village in Haroli, for allegedly shooting at a local resident and injuring him last Thursday in their village. The incident took place when the victim, Raj Kumar (35), was strolling on the village link road, along with his dog.
SP Anupam Sharma said the two attackers, who were masked and riding a motorcycle, fired at him and left the spot after committing the crime. He said the arrested accused were Narinder Singh and Mangal Singh.
It is learnt that extra-marital relations were the cause of the incident as Raj Kumar was reportedly involved with two women of the village. The police had summoned six persons, including two women, for interrogation. While four were let off, the two brothers were arrested for their direct involvement in the crime.
Narinder Singh and Mangal Singh were produced in the court today which remanded them to five days in the police custody, said the SP. — OC
