Guru Gobind Singh’s teachings more relevant today: Virbhadra

SHIMLA: State Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today participated in the 350th Birth anniversary celebrations of Prakashparv of Guru Gobind Singhji at the historic Ridge today.

State Governor Acharya Devvrat and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh today participated in the 350th Birth anniversary celebrations of Prakashparv of Guru Gobind Singhji at the historic Ridge today. The two-day event was organised by Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Shimla in collaboration with the state government that witnessed traditional acrobatics by Sikh youth, chants of Gurbani, exhibitions and blood donation camp.

Virbhadra Singh said that teachings of Shri Guru Gobind Singh were more relevant in the present times and they should be followed to enrich human life and for promoting peace and harmony in the society. He said that Guru Gobind Singh was a great warrior who fought for the unity and integrity of the country. The Chief Minister said that he would make best efforts to look into the demands of the SGPC Himachal Pradesh.

The Governor said Guru Gobind Singh founded the religion for the protection of truth and justice. He said that today the nation was celebrating the 350th anniversary of great personality, warrior, spiritual guru and scholar, who not only founded the Khalsa Panth but made the proud history of the country glorious.
