Dehradun, September 25

Pithoragarh Strikers defeated Udham Singh Nagar Lions by seven runs in a match in the 2nd Uttarakhand Premier League, played at Rangers’ College Ground here on Sunday.

Batting first, Pithoragarh Strikers set a total of 141 runs in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, USN Lions got all out in 134 runs and lost the match by a close margin. Surendra Dahiya scored the highest 47 runs, whereas Deep Bhautiyal and Kuldeep took two wickets each for Pithoragarh Strikers.

In another match of the day, Gomukh XI beat Rudraprayag Royals by seven wickets. Rudraprayag Royals put together a total of 102 runs in the first innings. The target was comfortably achieved by Gomukh XI in 14.3 overs after losing three wickets. Rahul Tyagi contributed the highest 43 runs for the winning team.
