Bharatiya Jan Sangh leader Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya was remembered on the occasion of his 100th birth anniversary here today. BJP workers assembled at Deendayal Upadhyaya Park in Landour Bazaar to pay homage to the leader.

Former Municipal Council president OP Uniyal shed light on Upadhyaya’s life. He said the Bharatiya Jan Sangh leader worked towards taking care of poor and downtrodden in the country. “Upadhyay was a beacon of selfless service and devoted his life for the betterment of people,” said Uniyal.

Mohan Petwal, member of the BJP local unit, said the life of Deendayal Upadhyaya was an inspiration for everyone and his policy of integral humanism was respected throughout the world.

Kushal Rana, Roop Chand Sharma, Madan Mohan Sharma,Vijay Ramola among others were present on the occasion.
