Bejoy Nambiar ropes in Dulquer for his M’wood debut
The Hindi remake of the Tamil film 'Agni Natchathiram', which was supposed to be helmed by Bejoy Nambiar, will have to wait for a while longer to make it to the silver screen. The Shaitan filmmaker confirms that the project won’t go on floors soon, as he is gearing up to debut in Malayalam through a Dulquer Salmaan starrer.
The director tells us, “Agni Natchathiram is on hold at the moment.
As of now, I am super excited to collaborate with Dulquer Salmaan for my first Malayalam film. He is one of the most exciting actors around and has been just growing from strength to strength with each film that he has been part of.” When queried about the project, its casting and plot, he says, “It’s too early to talk about it at this point.” The film is expected to start shooting by October.
Earlier, there were rumours about him debuting in Malayalam with a movie starring Mohanlal, who was also part of his renowned short films that launched his career. Bejoy clarifies, “I started my career with him. It will be a dream to work with him again, and I hope it happens soon.”
Bejoy had last directed 'Wazir' starring Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akthar.
